In these initial initial drawings, I looked at both the arts district and downtown LA as guides for the poster. I really liked the line quality in these drawings as well as the front view elevation-style that these are in.
Sofar Sounds Poster
I made the poster for a Sofar sounds show that took place in the arts district of Los Angeles. These pop-up music shows are hosted all around the world and usually feature 3 musical acts. I used the area of this show to guide the direction of the poster, featuring various landmarks from the area such as Urth cafe, Angel City Brewery, and the bridge that goes over the LA river. Using bricks and muted colors, I also tried to evoke the industrial aesthetic of the area.
